 The first stitch towards success

Business Partners International officially started operating in Rwanda in January 2012 with its first investment providing expansion capital to a woman owned and run business called Promota Creations Limited.

Promota Creation Limited is engaged in a wide range of product branding that includes uniforms, outdoor products, indoor advertising products, point of sale and promotional wear.

The business started in 2009 and since then demand for the company’s services continued to outstrip the company’s ability to meet supply, leading it to outsource some of its work to companies in neighbouring countries. This led Promota to approach Business Partners International for expansion capital.

The partnership with Promota has not only supported woman entrepreneurship, but has also created 12 additional jobs while sustaining 26 existing members of staff.

In addition, the company has received technical assistance from Business Partners International in the form of mentorship to improve on its production process. The mentors will help redesign the factory layout and install a management information system, as well as offer training on good governance for the company.
