Entrepreneurs Growth Centre
When asked to identify the problems they faced, entrepreneurs commonly cited finding finance, and then, just as important, the access to support services.
… Yes, entrepreneurs need money to start their businesses, but they also need information, tools and support to keep those businesses running and turning profits.
SMEs throughout the world face the same challenges, but just as important as access to finance, is:
- access to business expertise and resources
- access to good business management practices
- access to non-financial support
- access to information, know-how, learning opportunities
- networking opportunities
Many entrepreneurs have industry-specific skills, but don’t necessarily have the training or experience to manage other aspects of the business, such as bookkeeping, administration or legal issues.
By launching the Entrepreneurs Growth Centre, Business Partners Limited wants to bridge this gap, by bringing the information needed to run a successful business to the entrepreneur; address the challenges entrepreneurs face; and so promote and develop entrepreneurship in South Africa.
