Business Partners Venture Fund criteria

Geographical Spread Nationally
Financing Period On average a period between 3 to 7 years, but with no defined investment period. There should be clear indications of a proposed exit strategy within a reasonable timeframe.
Minimum and Maximum The Venture Fund will consider 1st round funding up to a maximum of R10 million with a focus on deals between R0.5 million to R3 million.
Own contribution requirements The financial risk, business risk, industry risk and environmental risk will influence the own contribution requirements of the business venture.
Entrepreneur – Relevant experience In evaluating the entrepreneur, aspects such the ability to run a successful business on sound business principles, integrity, drive, vision and appropriate experience, are considered.
Viability Applications will be considered where the project shows profitability and sustainable commercial viability.
